The KNG Group comprises of the Company, 10 subsidiaries (5 consolidated and 5 non-consolidated subsidiaries) and 2 affiliated companies. The main business activities of the Group include consistent gas business from development to supply of the natural gas to the customer; iodine and brine business using the brine that is incident to the production of natural gas; and construction business involving civil work, plumbing, and drilling of wells, etc.

While the cores of business are gas and iodine, the Group is also putting in efforts into the peripheral businesses aiming at growth and development of the entire group.

Gas Business

The main business of the Group is the gas business. The main strength of this business is the ability in optimizing resource development and adapting to changes in demand profile. This is achieved through the operations of our group companies, which cover all aspects of gas supply from upstream sectors such as the development and production of gas to downstream sectors such as the sale of gas to customers through a city gas company. We are focusing on domestically-produced natural gas, which is abundant and not affected by the international situations and exchange fluctuations, etc., while diversifying the gas sources, in order to construct a structure that will enable a long-term stable supply.

Iodine and Brine Business

Next to the gas business, the pillar of the Group is the iodine and brine business. Besides producing and selling iodine, which is a valuable resource of the world, and iodine compounds, from brine that is drawn from underground for extracting natural gas, We are also involved in selling the brine as a raw material for iodine.

Construction Business

The construction business includes civil work, plumbing associated with the sale of gas and drilling gas wells.

Other Businesses

Other businesses include the sale of gas equipment, participation in oil and gas development business in the United States, geopollution and underground water pollution surveys, leases, information processing service, engineering gas facilities, etc.
