Business Activities

  • Development and sales of natural gas
  • Development and sales of fossil seawater and fulvic acid

The Southern Kanto Gas Field, which we are developing, is a vast water-soluble natural gas field centered in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

It is the largest water-soluble gas field in Japan.

The recoverable natural gas reserves in our mining area total approximately 100 billion m3. Based on current annual production levels, this is equivalent to approximately 600 years' worth.

The gas is produced from approximately 500 to 2,000m below ground, together with water.

This water is called “fossil seawater” and consists of ancient seawater that has been trapped underground for millions of years.

The fossil seawater contains several useful components, such as iodine and fulvic-acid (KANTO-FA).

KANTO-FA

What is Fulvic acid?

Fulvic acid is a brownish-yellow organic substance formed through the repeated decomposition of animals and plants remaining over long periods of time in the natural environment. It is a type of humic substance.

By binding with various minerals in the soil, fulvic acid helps plants absorb these minerals more efficiently, thereby promoting plant growth. Additionally, its water-retention properties prevent drying out and support healthy plant growth.

Characteristics and Effects of KANTO-FA

KANTO-FA is a liquid fulvic acid developed by our company.

The quality of conventional soil-derived fulvic acids may vary depending on their source. KANTO-FA offers consistent quality and superior performance compared to commercially available humic substances.

As a liquid fulvic acid derived from fossil seawater, KANTO-FA is highly water-soluble. It is well suited for use in liquid fertilizers, hydroponic nutrient solutions, and plant factory cultivation systems.

KANTO-FA has been widely used in vegetable and grain crops, fruit trees, flowers, and turfgrass. It has been confirmed to increase the number of flowers and improve plant vigor in flowering plants, and to increase the number of stems and promote growth in turfgrass.

One of the most notable benefits is its ability to promote root development. KANTO-FA encourages the formation of abundant fine roots and a dense, vigorous root system. A stronger root system improves the plant’s ability to absorb water and nutrients efficiently, providing a solid foundation for healthy growth, improved vigor, and higher yields.
